Results on Trampoline Safety
Doctors and Specialists across the nation see hundreds of cases of trampoline injuries each year that could have been avoided. The majority of these accident victims were 15 years of age or younger and 11% of the injuries happened to children less than 5 years of age.
The most common reasons for trampoline injury are;
Colliding with another person on the trampoline.
Falling or jumping off the trampoline.
Falling on the trampoline springs or frame.
Landing improperly while jumping or doing stunts on the trampoline.
Trampoline Safety Rules
#1 - Never allow more than one person on the trampoline at a time.
#2 - Do not attempt, or allow somersaults on the trampoline.
#3 - Do not use the Trampoline without shock-absorbing pads that completely cover it's springs, hooks, and frame.
#4 - Place the trampoline on level ground, away from structures, trees, and other play areas.
#5 - Always supervise children who use a trampoline.
#6 - If possible, install a proper trampoline enclosure net to prevent further injuries.
Other Trampoline Safety Tips
If you have small children that need a ladder to get onto the trampoline, remove the ladder before you leave the house. This will discourage unsupervised access.
Use an Under-Trampoline net, or make sure that your children, pets, and yard items are cleared from under the trampoline before you allow anyone to jump on the trampoline.
Remove your shoes while jumping. This helps your trampolines life by reducing excessive stress on the jumping mat.
